Ways to Volunteer

​​​​Day of Caring

Throughout the year, we have ongoing projects such as gardening, yardwork, painting, and other handyman jobs. We are always on the lookout for companies to partner with to help liven up our residential shelters.

​

Wellmore partnered with organizations for multiple Days of Caring in 2024, including Webster Bank, Ion Bank, and the University of Hartford NSBE Chapter to paint the residential shelters and provide the residents with more lively living spaces.

Donation Drives​

Examples of Donation Drives:

• Holiday Drives: During the holiday season, Wellmore looks to partner with companies who are willing to collect gifts, put up a donation tree with gift tags so employees can choose one or more tags to purchase gifts for our residents.

• Personal Drives: Set-up your own donation drive with co-workers, family, or friends​ and collect items that could be used for the clients at our residential shelters.

Other Ways to Contribute

We are actively seeking volunteers to make a difference in the lives of our residential shelter clients. Here’s how you can help:

​

• Teach residents how to prepare nutritious meals

• Cook meals for the shelter using ingredients we provide

• Retired teachers to offer guidance and support to our residents

• Short-term handymen specializing in construction, electrical work, and plumbing to help maintain and improve our facilities

 

Your time and skills can make a lasting impact, and together, we can create a brighter future for those in need.
